  • 1 salmon fillet
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)
  • 1 tsp black sesame seeds
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and sliced into wedges
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss sweet potato wedges with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper on a baking tray. Roast for 25–30 minutes until crispy.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, and rice vinegar (if using). Brush this mixture over the salmon fillet on another baking tray and sprinkle with black sesame seeds. Bake for 12–15 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Steam broccoli florets in a steamer basket for 4–5 minutes until bright green and tender yet crisp.
  5. Serve the salmon alongside sweet potato wedges and steamed broccoli, drizzling any remaining glaze over for extra flavor.
