  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Brown the unsalted butter over medium heat until it turns a rich amber color. Cool slightly.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices. Set aside.
  4. In another bowl, mix cooled brown butter with dark brown sugar until clumpy.
  5. Add egg yolk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree to the sugar mixture; mix until smooth.
